Center Policy

Enrollment

Eligibility for entrance, the following items are required of all applicants:

  • Completed Registration Form. Interview with Director.
  • Proof of High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) 
  • Foreign country high school diploma or higher college degree (must be in English or translated into English).

Leave of Absence

Student who must take a leave of absence may do so, by submitting a letter to the Director stating:

  • Reason for taking leave of absence.
  • When applicable and/or requested by the administration, student must submit documented proof of said emergency.

After meeting said requirements, The Director will then decide whether the student will be granted a Leave of Absence or not. Documents of approval or disapproval will be signed by Director and students and a copy of documentation will be provided to student for record as well.

Attendance

Students must complete 100% of their scheduled course hours. In case of absence/s, students are responsible for all course work missed and are required to make up missing time under the supervision of the instructor. After completing make-up hours, Instructor will sign/initial the make-up sheet. 

Dress Code

Students are required to dress professionally in scrubs at “Pulse Career Solutions” and at affiliated clinical site for rotations.

  • Electrocardiogram Technician (EKG): Navy Blue Scrubs.
  • Phlebotomy Technician: Navy Blue Scrubs.

Student Conduct & Dismissal

A student must always conduct themselves in a professional manner . Following conduct will be considered just cause for student disciplinary action, including dismissal of a student from Pulse Career Solutions. Pulse Career Solutions has the right to pursue and prosecute the student and or person involved, to the fullest extent of the law.

  • Absolutely no profanity allowed at any time, or any place on or near the center premises.
  • Unwarranted verbal or physical act of violence against any person, be they instructor, student, employee, or visitor.
  • Unauthorized use of electronic device to record audio, video and stills at any time on the premises.
  • Use or possession of illegal drugs, alcoholic beverages or firearms.
  • Theft, may it be student or school property.
  • Any act of dishonesty, may it be cheating or plagiarism.
  • Intentional destruction or vandalism of student and/or school property.
  • Violent acts or crimes resulting in mental or physical injury.
  • Voluntary refusal of leaving the premises after being asked by training center personnel/administration.


Return and Refund Policy

Students who register for a training course occasionally change their minds for one reason or another. Regardless of the reason, we believe there should be a definite refund policy for students who decide not to take the course. Refunds for online courses are only given under the following circumstances:

  • The student/user did not access any portion of the online course AND the student/user requests a refund, in writing via email within three business days from the date of the registration (email notification sent). There will be no refunds for any online courses (or curricula) once a course has been accessed in any manner.
  • A full refund will be issued less an administrative fee of $125.
  • All shipped course materials (books, study guides, CDs, Self-Study Kits, Videos, etc.) are returned, unopened/unused at your own expense if you accept delivery of the package. There are no refunds for e-books.
  • Additional restocking and shipping costs may apply to returned books.

Please understand that with the enrollment and access of your online course, you have read and agree to the aforementioned refund policy. There are no extensions granted for your course. If you do not complete your course by the end date on your welcome letter, there will be additional fees for extended access.

Online Professional Development Refund Policy

  • The student/user did not access any portion of the online course AND the student/user requests a refund, in writing via email within 72 hours of enrolling in the course.
  • We are unable to offer refunds after the exam has been attempted.

Online Enrichment Course Refund Policy

  • The student/user did not access any portion of the online course AND the student/user requests a refund, in writing via email within 72 hours of enrolling in the course.
  • We are unable to offer refunds after the exam has been attempted.
  • A refund will be issued less the materials fee for the course, if any.
